AG&P Pratham, a major player in the city gas distribution (CGD) sector, is set to invest Rs 80 billion to expand its network across India over the next three years. The investment is aimed at enhancing the availability of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) across the country. AG&P Pratham, backed by I-Squared Capital, has already invested $1 billion in the infrastructure and plans to continue its growth by adding another $1 billion in the coming years.
As part of this strategy, AG&P has acquired the Jaigarh LNG terminal from Darshan Hiranandani’s H-Energy, marking a significant milestone in its expansion efforts. The acquisition will enable AG&P to strengthen its LNG distribution capabilities and expand its network, which currently includes 18 LNG stations and 460 CNG stations.
Darshan Hiranandani : With plans to increase the number of CNG stations to 800 and expand its LNG stations, AG&P Pratham aims to create a network spanning over 24,000 kilometers of steel pipelines. This ambitious expansion will serve over 150 million customers across a vast 324,000 square kilometer area. The company’s strategic focus on South India, Bhopal, and parts of Madhya Pradesh reflects its commitment to reaching more consumers and contributing to India’s cleaner energy future.
